The Board Room is the brain child of owner’s Nathan and Regina Phillips. Nathan has worked winter sports specialty retail since 1997 and decided in January 2008 that he wanted to support a niche in East Tennessee that was not available at that time.
The Board Room opened Sept. 5th 2008, carrying skateboards, longboards, snowboards, twin tip skis and lifestyle apparel. Each season the shop seems to gain more traction, mainly because of the unique brands, excellent customer service and the laidback, chill atmosphere.
