Flux Friday!!!

The fat lady has sung for most of us this season.  For the end of the 2011-2012 season, we decided to Flux up Bear Mountain, and film some of the local Flux family.

Last weekend, Jaeger Bailey won first place at WCI’s EddieWall-ride event at Mammoth Mountain.  CLICK HERE to see a video and photos from the event.  Spencer Link competed in the big air portion of WCI and got this shot….

Jaeger Bailey has been killing it at SUPERPARK.  He has defiantly been a stand out in these videos throwing some unique and weeeeeird tricks…we are starting to think he might not be from this planet.

Flux at Superpark!!!

The final day of Superpark was said to be the most wild.  Check out Flux rider Cody Rosenthal pull his backside 360 double methods in this video recap.  Jaeger also has some shots in the final video wrap up.

Here is what the Flux team has been up to this week!

Oz Flux rider Tom Reilly bagged the cover of Transfer Magazine with this styley handplant…. Looks rad!!!

‘Intersection’ is a 7 day film contests at Whistler’s Ski and Snowboard Festival.  The rules were that the video had to be filmed and edited in 7 days. It had to be completely shot within 100 km radious of Whistler. The video had to include skiers and snowboarders.  30 seconds had to be filmed in the park and 30 seconds had to be filmed on Whistler Blackcomb.

Flux team rider Geoff Brown worked with the Voleurz crew to make, “The Science of Airborning,” a spoof of “The Art of Flight.”  Their submission took first place! Congrats!  Check it out here….

Skeleton Crew is doing it again. This time around, Flux riders Cody Rosenthal, Matty Mo, and Jaeger Bailey, are all contributing to the film. Matty Mo is rocking the exclusive “Skeleton Crew” board…bitchin.

Flux Bindings Euro and Arbor Europe team rider Wessel Van Lierop and his crew won the Nike Chosen Sessions video contest. He pairs his powder-blue jumpsuit with the power-blue Ashbury TT30s!

Camp Academy went down last weekend at Boreal!

Campers were taught by Academy and Flux team members Ryan Tarbell, Chad Tarbell, and Jordan Michilot.

Some lucky campers even walked away with a fresh set of bindings! This kid is stoked!

Also at Boreal last weekend, was The ARBOR FACE OFF.

Arbor and Flux team riders Scott Vine and Ian Sams were guest judges.

Flux Japan’s team rider, Masato Toda was there competeing, and Erik Leon took home 4^th .

Erik Leon and Jaeger Bailey were invited to participate in Snowboarder Mag’s underage rage cage!  “The Launch” setup at Bear Mountain is complete with tranys, tree jumps, bowls and bitches.  Well… maybe not the bitches… they are still underage.  CLICK HERE for more details and check out these shots of Flux team riders Erik Leon and Jaeger Bailey… 

Mt. High will be releasing its first full film this fall titled “Los Angeles.”  Spencer Link rocks his flashy orange RK30s in this teaser… CLICK HERE to see it!

Happy Friday!  It is finally the weekend! Wooooohooooo!

Here is what the Flux is up…..

Jaeger Bailey got 1st place and a trip to Europe at the Nike Chosen event in Mammoth, CA.   The set up was wild and involved a 60 foot jump and a rail garden with down bars, tubes, ¼ pipes, a wall ride, a closeout, a grizzly bear bonk and a UFO space ship slide.  Joking about the last ones… but it really was wild.  CLICK HERE for more details from Transworld.com and check out his sweet video! Japanese Flux rider Ryo Aono is killing it in his DMCC lights!  Last week he took third in the X-Games half pipe and this week he blew everyone out of the water to get 1^st in the Canadian Open half Pipe. Ryo Aono’s championship run impressed the crowds with a Cab 1080, Frontside 540, Backside 900 Tail, Frontside 1080 and Cab 720 . CLICK HERE TO SEE THE WHOLE STORY! In celebration of Flux’s 20^th Anniversary, we took high school students from Torrance, CA up to Mt. High to have fun in the snow and learn how to shred! Shredding the love!

Congratulations to Spencer Link for winning the Cholula Triple Air at Mt. High! Spencer threw a switch front 9 off the first jump into a front 7 and finished up with a backside double cork 10 to take 1^st!  Flux rider Lynn Neil got 4^th for the ladies with a back 7 of one of the jumps! Happy Friday Flux Fanimals! We have had a wild week and are excited to share what the Flux has been going on…..

Congratulations to Eric Willett for getting 1^st at the Dew Tour in Killington! Eric had no trouble with an untouchable first run of 91.0!  His run started with a frontside 270 onto the down rail, followed by a gap to front lip 270 out on the gap down and a front board to switch on the cannon. On the last three jumps, he laid out a switch back 10 double cork, a cab 900 double cork, and a frontside 1080 double cork. Lastly, Willett finished with a laid out blackflip to take the win!

Eric Willett got some ride time in at Sun Valley and is featured in Transworlds Park Sessions. CLICK HERE TO SEE IT! 

Eric Willett also got wild at the X-Games— taking 4^th in Snowboard Big Air and 7^th in Men’s Slopestyle.  Japanese Flux shredder Ryo Aono took the bronze in Men’s Superpipe.  Although he didn’t get the ‘perfect’ score against the White… he is riding some ‘perfect’ bindings.

Happy Friday! The last Friday of 2011!! Flux has done a lot of good things this season and we are looking forward to an exciting 2012. We are smack dab in the middle of winter. And no snow!? Come on everyone…. Do the snow dance!
