Flux Friday!!!

The fat lady has sung for most of us this season.  For the end of the 2011-2012 season, we decided to Flux up Bear Mountain, and film some of the local Flux family.

Last weekend, Jaeger Bailey won first place at WCI’s EddieWall-ride event at Mammoth Mountain.  CLICK HERE to see a video and photos from the event.  Spencer Link competed in the big air portion of WCI and got this shot….

Jaeger Bailey has been killing it at SUPERPARK.  He has defiantly been a stand out in these videos throwing some unique and weeeeeird tricks…we are starting to think he might not be from this planet.

Superpark is going down at Bachelor next week, good luck to the Flux team out there! Last week… our Flux ladies were out at Miss Superpark!  Ms. Superpark Standout and Gatorade “Driven From Within” award was given to Kjersti Buaas!!  Congratulations!

Transfer Magazine is releasing their first magazine for the Oz season.  It has Flux rider Tom Reilly on the cover, and Flux rider Ryan Tiene has an article about his new pro status with DC Snow!  Go pick one up if you are in Oz!

Tom Reilly went to Russia last month to get that cover shot for Transfer Magazine.  Check out the teaser they made titled, ‘Poor Traits’

Sambo Shop ‎in Italy put out this edit from BeHood clothing.  Some Italian Flux riders are in this edit  they put together from Obereggen Snowpark.

Here is what the Flux team has been up to this week!

Oz Flux rider Tom Reilly bagged the cover of Transfer Magazine with this styley handplant…. Looks rad!!!

‘Intersection’ is a 7 day film contests at Whistler’s Ski and Snowboard Festival.  The rules were that the video had to be filmed and edited in 7 days. It had to be completely shot within 100 km radious of Whistler. The video had to include skiers and snowboarders.  30 seconds had to be filmed in the park and 30 seconds had to be filmed on Whistler Blackcomb.

Flux team rider Geoff Brown worked with the Voleurz crew to make, “The Science of Airborning,” a spoof of “The Art of Flight.”  Their submission took first place! Congrats!  Check it out here….

West Coast invitationals

A lot of our FLUX riders are in Mammoth for the West Coast Invitational (WCI) this weekend.
Whether they are competing…or just enjoying the springtime snow scene.. we wish them all the best!
On Friday, May 6, riders battle it out on a course full of crazy wall ride features at the Eddie Wall Ride. On Saturday, May 7 The Village will be having an evening Rail Jam where they will compete for lots of cash as they’ll take on a three-story high jib set-up.

One Life! Chicken Jammin!

Flux rider Chanelle Sladics and the ladies with One Life took the long road trip to Mammoth to compete in the Roxy Chicken Jam. The event was postponed due to a heavy pukage of snow. Check out their powder turns and CLICK HERE to see other one life episodes with these lovely ladies.

Give Thanks!

With snow season punctually approaching, we all have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! Get out there and shred! This is the time we’ve all been waiting for. So make this season a season to remember! Where will you go with your Flux bindings? Mammoth? Whistler? Big Sky? Breckenridge? Tahoe? We’ll be thankful if you get out there and ride! Shred hard and make sure to be thankful for the season that is indefinitely upon us.

First flakes of the season fell on Mammoth Mountain last week! The cold weather blanketed Mammoth with 1 ½ feet of snow—enough to make us all antsy for the lifts to open. More snow is expected and we can all do a dance to the snow gods for colder weather to continue. 2010/2011 shred season is so close we can smell it! Get your ride out of the closet—we’ll be slashing in no time!
